WHAT SERVICES WE PROVIDE
Happy Care works through the NDIS (National Disabilities Insurance Scheme) to provide support for individuals living with disabilities. We aim to provide the best possible life experience with our services. This includes help with household tasks, mobility assistance, transport, modification of living arrangements, nursing care, community social contact, personal one-on-one contact, health assistance, and various types of therapeutic support.
Employment or Education Support
We can provide funds and equipment for employment not usually covered by the employer or education facility. This may include transport. The goal is to improve skills and capabilities, so individuals have more options to engage in education, employment and community activities.
Nursing Care
We can provide nursing care at home that relates to your disability. This is support for daily living, bathroom assistance, medication supply and administration, monitoring of health, and housekeeping.
Support Coordination
There will be administrative decisions regarding your disability support. We advise and arrange for the most effective use of your funds and equipment according to what is reasonable and necessary. We can also provide training to use facilities.
Assistance with daily personal activities
Your disability may make daily activities such as bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning and shopping difficult. Taking medication may also be an issue. We provide appropriate assistance where needed.
Assistance with travel/transport arrangements
Financial assistance can be arranged for those who cannot use public transport. This level increases for individuals who are studying or working part of full time. Funds can be provided to modify a car in order to accommodate your disability.
SIL Accommodation
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is for individuals who need assistance or supervision with daily tasks and personal care. It includes skills training to improve independence.
Innovative community participation
Social and community connection are necessary for a healthy mindset and personal growth. Participation in community events and development of social skills, confidence, resilience and further independence are encouraged.
Participation in community, social and civic activities
Individuals with intellectual, psychosocial or autism spectrum disabilities may greatly benefit from meeting people with similar interests. Interacting with others improves social skills and gives a sense of inclusion. It also develops sporting or hobby abilities.
Household Tasks
A healthy, content lifestyle requires a clean, organized home. Out trained staff can work alongside you to provide cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and general house maintenance.
Group and centre-based activities
Individuals may need support to engage in social, community or recreational activities. This networking with friends and development of skills is part of a healthy mindset, and improves independent living.
