Innovative community participation

Happy Care understands that interaction and engagement with the local community is important for a healthy mindset and daily living. Working through the NDIS scheme, we open up community event participation for individuals living with a disability. People with a disability or mental illness are at a high risk of living in isolation. Home care only partially caters to this need.

Funding for participation in community living, from shopping trips to attending concerts, sporting events or hobby groups, greatly improves the life experience of all individuals. For those living with a disability, it allows the development of confidence, independence, social skills, emotional awareness, and further personal growth. Ongoing community engagement can facilitate the transition to reduced disability support. Social interaction and employment allow individuals with disabilities greater autonomy and increasing involvement in the world.
